Call for Submissions – UMeU Poetry Anthology

Call for Submissions – UMeU Poetry Anthology

Autumn is setting in and there is a little nip in the air and so is poetry. The month of September witnessed India’s first dedicated Poetry Blog Hop – ‘UMeU Poetry Blog Hop’ which exceeded all expectations and saw entries both in English and Hindi.

The UMeU Poetry Blog Hop saw some amazing, poignant, and heartfelt entries. The poems ranged from an ode to a pet to a tribute to a lover, from being abstract in nature to dedicated to someone whom they lost. Previously, I had the honour of co-hosting a couple of super successful blog hops – The Decade Blog Hop and ‘The Woman That I Am’ Blog Hop. The winning entries from ‘The Woman That I Am’ Blog Hop made it to an anthology that saw more than 1800 downloads.

UMeU Blog Hop was a first from many perspectives. I got an opportunity to host my first solo blog hop while it being the first of its kind in India. To recognize and appreciate the superlative work put in by the participants I am deciding to take a step forward and create an anthology around the same theme. All the poems that have been a part of the UMeU Blog Hop will be part of the UMeU Poetry Anthology.

Since few of the fellow community members (both from the blogging and the writing community) couldn’t participate in the blog hop because of their prior commitments and since many of them expressed interest in being a part of the UMeU Poetry Anthology, I would now be opening it for Submissions. The period is now OPEN and submissions would be accepted till 11th Nov 2021.

I would request you to read all the rules carefully before sending your entries. If you have any questions please write them in comments or DM me on social media or send an email over to [email protected]
