I await your presence every night, so precious

To hear you whisper in me that is comforting

I feel the happiness you easily spread along

And I do wish you forever, by my side

Time never stops and as the warmth basks in

I feel the uneasiness overpowering me

When you fervently bid me goodbye

Though it is for us to meet again

And sometimes there is the cliche

Oh! It’s conspired already

By whom?

Isn’t that a mystery?

I have to miss you, your gentle touch

A day in a month, how long that seems

Yet, I stand in solitude, wide awakened

Holding onto our memories, very special

Your very sight, make me complete again

The truth! we share the invisible bond

Your care for me can envy any living soul

Our meet wasn’t by chance

A miracle or a blessing, I fail to categorize

My dear pristine white pearl

It is and would always be

You and I etched in eternity

Ramya V

Ramya wanted to participate in the #UMeUBlogHop but she doesn’t have a blog of her own so she decided to post her poem ‘My Soulmate’ using my blog. Please encourage and appreciate referring to Ramya.

“This post is a part of ‘UMeU’ Poetry Blog Hop #UMeUBlogHop organized by Manas Mukul . The hop is brought to you by Soul Craft and You, Me & The Universe.”

    Beaitifully penned!

It is the joy of meeting again that makes the brief periods if absence tolerable.

Meanwhile, these words by Rumi may serve as balm to the aching soul,
““Lovers don’t finally meet somewhere. They’re in each other all along.”
