L – Limo & Yacht Trip | #AtoZChallenge #BlogchatterA2Z
I am a fan of WWE since childhood. Every week I would see Vince McMahon and the Rock arrive into the arena in a long…really long car. I guess back then I didn’t even know what it was called. The car was a Limousine and would catch the fancy of every kid. Well during my stay in Dubai I got the awesome opportunity to experience it myself.
We were about 12 of us – since the cost of arranging a limousine followed by a yacht trip was really high. We were studying and yet not earning it was best to keep the cost practicable for everyone.
The limousine ride followed by the yacht ride is perfect for everyone – whether you are travelling in a group or whether you reside in Dubai or whether you want to take your partner out for a romantic intimate evening.
The limousine will pick you up from your place and take you around a complete tour of Dubai for about a couple of hours and would then take you to the Dubai Marina Yacht Club before finally dropping you off at your pick up point. It will take you to major landmarks including Palm Jumeirah, the Burj Khalifa, Burj Al Arab, Dubai Marina, and more.
We all got dressed up and were looking really sharp in our suits. The inside of the limousine was surreal. You will not make it from outside, but once inside it truly feels never ending with really luxurious leather seats. Interiors had neon lights with some hip-hop soundtrack playing in the background. The chauffeur compartment was separated by a partition and there were flashy lights to accompany on that wall.
The LED-lit disco-style floor, tinted windows and upward opening rear doors added to the class and style. Refreshments and soft drinks were included in the package and were served inside the limo. We celebrated and clicked snaps while the limo zipped across the streets of Dubai and after about a couple of hours we reached the Dubai Marina Yacht Club.
Those who are travelling in smaller groups can also book it on a shared basis.
Dubai Marina is an artificial canal city, built along a 3.5 km stretch of the Persian Gulf shoreline. The Yacht cruises through towering high-rises, awe-inspiring structures and the glistening marina water.
At the Yacht Club, there was a yacht already waiting for us. We boarded our designated yacht that took us around the Marina for another two hours.
It was a super luxurious yacht, the kind of which you only see in movies. We clicked endless snaps in the overwhelming background. It will take you to the point where Marina merges with the Persian Gulf and takes you back. The interiors were elegantly done and appeared comfortable but we chose to remain outside for most of the time. There were complimentary food and refreshments, along with a live barbeque. You can carry your own food and drinks as well.
There will be enough safety gears like lifejackets and will be provided to you once onboard. Be careful while walking towards the deck as the railings are small and take extra precautions if kids are accompanying you.
The most suitable time to go for the yacht ride is when you can catch the sunset too. Since we were doing the limo ride first we skipped the sunset part and straightaway headed to the party part of it.
The best possible way to enjoy and soak in the opulence of Dubai and that too at manageable cost is the Limousine and the Yacht experience. All you need to do is dress up nicely and show up!
For all those who are a fan of WWE,
For all those who love cars,
For all those who love yachts,
For all those who love the limousines…
It’s not a goodbye,
But it’s a GOOD BYE.
